Verifiable Photomontage
Our specialist inhouse Photography, Drone & AVR team, partner with trusted survey teams to deliver AVR’s on over 1500 projects to date. Verified Views are standard in EIAs (Environmental Impact Assessment) for large-& small scale developments, aiding public consultation and inquiries.
We support the process further by creating an LVIA Methodology Report. Delivered at the end it includes an audit trail of processes from camera matching, recommended viewing distances, expert witness provision.
With over 25 years’ experience delivering Planning projects from high rise London projects to greenfield planning applications and everything in between. Giving us huge experience and understanding of the complexities of different sites. We follow the LVIA process and create the methodology report for legal support. Overall we earn the trust of our clients due to our experience on multiple projects being accurately reliable.
We also have the capability to deliver Panoramic AVR on top of the set field view of photography. This allows our end client to view from every direction to put their planning application into context. From this we can then create interactive sales suites.
Liz Simes, Board Director fabrik:
‘Munro CGI have been my ‘go to’ consultant for ZTVI’s and VVM’s for a number of years. Their service is always efficient and friendly, even when the pressure is on. We have worked with Munro CGI on a range of residential and mixed use projects, for outline and detailed planning applications and then where their wireframe and fully rendered VV<’s and VVM Methodology have been tested at appeal. Their work forms a key piece of our landscape and visual case, successfully convincing Inspectors to allow appeals and therefore achieving, as part of the team, a positive outcome for our clients.’
Colin Ainger, Partner, HTA Architects
‘We have returned to MunroCGIs for Verifiable Photomontage images for both a London GLA DPP bid submission and our scheme for Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Tower Hamlets, which both won Planning. The images looked great and we look forward to collaborating with MunroCGI again.’
Andrew Pollard, Snr Development Surveyor, Rydon
‘MunroCGI delivered a set of part of the planning application for the award winning redevelopment of Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Hackney with Rydon Construction and HTA Architects. We were very impressed with the striking, photo-realistic verified views that they delivered. The creative and and technical input was very successful. The images helped to secure planning consent and were also used in our PR and press coverage. We will certainly work with MunroCGI again.’

Verified Views
Also known as Accurate Visual Representations (AVRs), play a crucial role in UK planning applications by providing photorealistic, scientifically accurate, and legally defensible depictions of proposed developments.
They bridge the gap between design concepts and reality, ensuring that all parties understand the visual changes proposed, which is critical for complex or controversial urban developments. Essential for obtaining approval, they enable planning authorities, committees, and the public to assess the precise impact of a scheme on the skyline, surrounding area, and heritage sites.
Utilising accurate survey data and photography, AVRS allow planners to evaluate proposals based on facts rather than artistic impressions. They demonstrate adherence to local planning policies concerning height, massing, and design, which can reduce the risk of rejection or planning delays.
And assess visual impact. Identifying potential adverse effects early, such as overshadowing or obstruction of key views, facilitating the development of mitigation strategies.
By providing true-to-life representations, they address concerns from residents, council members, and heritage organizations, fostering trust in the planning process.
